The journey this side of heaven has ended for Trucker Boy. Literally, it is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the news of Trucker’s passing on 3/3/2017 at 10:10am. I am reminded of Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 which begins with, “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens. (Eccl 3:1) when it comes to the passing of a friend or a loved one. Specifically verse 4 seems most appropriate in a time like this “a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance.”
There will certainly be a indefinite season of grief for Joshua, Shauna, Indy, Jedi, and Mac as continue living in this life without Trucker. Please pray for friends and family to support the Dukes as they are grieving, to weep with them as they are weeping, to laugh with them when they are laughing, to mourn with them with them as they are mourning, and to dance with them as they are dancing. Please remember them in your prayers!
As one who never got to meet Trucker personally, I have visions of how he would have been to talk to in person. Visions created from the 1,000’s of photos and videos that have been created over the past couple of years of Trucker’s struggles, pains, comforts, treatments, play, etc. The boy I see most is the one in a firefighter’s uniform, wanting to be a firefighter like his daddy. The boy fighting a battle with bravery, with joyfulness, with a sweetness that must have filled the throne room of heaven today. You will be missed little warrior there are no two ways about it. In almost four years, you have touched the lives of literally millions of people. I thank God for the grace that He gave you to fight cancer, and I thank God for the grace he gave us to be a part of your sojourn through this life.

At 10:10 am on March 3, 2017, in his mamma’s arms, Trucker took his last breath here and went home to be with Jesus.💔💔💔 We prayed that his passing (and I say passing because we have hope of seeing him again in Heaven) would be peaceful, not painful and with ohana there. I have followed Truckers story for months on Facebook and have been praying for relief for your family and no more suffering. May you all be comforted knowing he is at peace with our heavenly Father, watching over you as your guardian angel. My heart both breaks for you and is filled with joy that he is with Jesus in heaven.
I have been amazed at how Trucker touched so many lives. I have prayed for him and his family through this extremely difficult time. He is finally home with Jesus and so free of pain. Jesus will go with you during your time of sorrow. Along with the hard memories you have many fun times, happy times, sweet times to remember. Your lovely family will help each other during the days, weeks and months ahead. Time does not heal all hurts, but it does get easier as time goes by. You are a beautiful family. You have all sacrificed so that he could have the best of care. Ass you walk each day, be sure that God is there with you. My deepest sympathy to each one of you. Blanche Strickland
