Since putting Trucker into hospice care, his pain has gotten to the point where he can only tolerate a few minutes outside. Family members and friends have been coming to visit with the Dukes and spend time together enjoying precious moments. There have been a few times where Trucker wanted to go outside, and his daddy, Joshua, had to hold him the entire time and for only a few minutes each time. Team Trucker- Trucker Dukes Supporters put together the #TruckerToughChallenge to raise awareness for the #morethan4 campaign; Children’s cancer research receives only 4% of the total funds for cancer research. To participate in the challenge people have been asked to post pictures of themselves with a “tough” face. To date there have been a couple thousand #TruckerToughChallenge posts on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter with everybody from Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to Kurt Suzuki posting their “Tough” faces. There is a new T-shirt fundraising campaign, with 100% of the funds going to the Dukes Family. Also, a new non-profit called www.uvsc.org was just started in time for a campaign for the Dukes ‘Ohana and Trucker Boy. All donations made before February 20, 2017, 5:00pm HST (10:00pm EST) up to $10,000 will be matched 100% with the transaction fees being covered. If you feel led to give please click the link above.
