As of the 8:00am update from the Central Pacific Hurricane Center, the tropical disturbance has moved to latitude 12N and longitude 145W. The national weather service has increased the chance to 70% of this developing into a tropical cyclone over the next 48 hours. Please pray for the safety of all on the Hawaiian Islands as this system may develop into a tropical storm. Pray for the preparation of those who may be in the path of this storm.
Showers and thunderstorms associated with an area of low pressure centered about 900 miles southeast of Hilo, Hawaii continues to develop and show signs of organization. Environmental conditions will remain conducive for further development over the next couple of days as the low moves slowly toward the northwest.
