Pray for them to enjoy time together as a family before Shauna and Trucker return to New York. Maui no ka oi!!! [Maui is the Best] We are beyond blessed to call this place home and have the community we do!! Thank you times a million for the warm welcome home that was incredible and is still going!!! Thank you Makena beach resort for the generous gift of a much needed staycation and all the aloha.. Thank you Maui Limousine for the amazing ride home from the airport and thank you Kai Kanani for a great boat trip!!! #teamtruckerrocks wish i could ignore the reality of our situation a little longer but cant so this is what is happening. We had a hard talk the the Dr. In NYC the day before we left. Basically he said his cancer is not growing but its not going away either. Trucker boy has some super stubborn cancer and its still in his bone marrow as well. If it starts growing again there wont be a lot they can do, and although he is doing very well right now actually thriving at home, the fact is we are still fighting very hard for his life!! We had to make a decision to do MIBG(liquid radiation) or move forward with 2 rounds of immunotherapy and re-scan with MIBg being on the table then if scans are no better.. #weneedacure this is the less toxic route and either way is no guarantee and a gamble. #onedayatatime We choose the less toxic option and trucker and I will be headed back to NYC next week for another 5-6 weeks. My mamma heart? The initial excitement of being home has wore off and now I’m mad and sad!!! Mad that i have to leave my family and home again and super sad for all the time and life cancer has robbed from all of us!! #cancersucks #FYOUcancer Remember us this week in your prayers as we enjoy our precious time together and prepare our hearts to be separated again!!
