The Central Pacific Hurricane Center has cancelled all watches for the counties of Maui and Hawaii. As of the 5:00 AM Public Advisory, the storm’s strength is rapidly declining, and it could become a tropic depression later today.

AT 500 AM HST, THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM GUILLERMO WAS LOCATED NEAR LAT 21.7N & LONG 154.4 W. GUILLERMO IS MOVING TOWARD THE WEST NEAR 12 MPH…19 KM/H. THIS GENERAL MOTION IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THROUGH FRIDAY NIGHT. NOTE THAT ALONG THIS TRACK, GUILLERMO MAY BRING TROPICAL STORM FORCE CONDITIONS TO PORTIONS OF THE NORTHEAST COASTAL WATER OF THE SMALLER MAIN HAWAIIAN ISLANDS TODAY.

GUSTS. GUILLERMO IS WEAKENING RAPIDLY AND IT WILL LIKELY BE
DOWNGRADED TO A TROPICAL DEPRESSION LATER THIS MORNING OR THIS AFTERNOON. ONCE GUILLERMO BECOMES A TROPICAL DEPRESSION. IT IS FORECAST TO LOSE TROPICAL CHARACTERISTICS BY LATE FRIDAY.
TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO 150 MILES FROM THE CENTER MAINLY IN THE NORTHEAST QUADRANT.
