What a month! We are so blessed by the past month of churches joining together in prayer for the visit of Nick Vujicic to Islands of Kauai, Oahu, and Maui. On the island of Maui, seventy churches banded together and prayed for the people who would hear God’s message of Hope through Nick’s life and testimony.
During his visit, Nick had eighteen different speaking engagements at schools, a church leadership summit, and two major venues, Aloha Stadium (Oahu) and War Memorial Gymnasium (Maui)! It was quite a whirlwind tour, and with the intercessors laboring in the Spirit, the tour had no major problems. Nick shared the his faith, his story, and encouraged leaders to be love to those around them. He spoke to students about having hope despite the daily difficulties of life.
We are thankful for the many organizations and people who made Nick’s tour possible especially Marlene Rice of the Maui Food Bank and Ben Prangnell of basketballMAUI. Marlene and Ben spearheaded the team of people to bring Nick to Maui. They partnered with many local ministries, businesses, and organizations to bring in financial support, accomodations, and other services for the Unstoppable Tour.
With Pray Hawaii, we coordinated an island-wide prayer effort including several churches and hundreds of believers across the Island of Maui. We developed a 30-day prayer guide, and shared the daily prayer requests through our Facebook, Twitter, and website. The Friday and Saturday before Nick came to Maui we had a 24-hour fast (Friday) and a prayer and worship night (Saturday), and the night of the community event, we had intercessors praying from 4pm to the end of the evening.
We are thankful for the seeds of the gospel planted through Nick’s time here on the islands! We look forward to seeing the harvest grow as we continue to intercede for the people of Hawaii. Please how to pray for the islands of Hawaii here.
