Today we are praying for teenagers to walk in purity. Because of a sense of hopelessness and the resulting victim mindset, some teenagers become disillusioned with life and start making poor choices. This disillusionment stems from broken or abusive homes or from parents who pass along a victim mindset to them. True purity, of course, comes from a right relationship with God which is a result of the finished work of the Cross.
Papa God, thank You for Jesus and the finished work of the cross. Jesus, we ask You to reveal the mystery of Your love to the young people of Hawaii. For those who have become disillusioned through their circumstances, who feel helpless, and who have begun to make poor choices, Jesus shine the light of your love on them. Give them hope, and let us, Your body be that light in the darkness. Reveal to them their true identity as co-heirs with You, that they are your royal priesthood, holy people, special possession, that they may declare Your praises who called them out of darkness into Your wonderful light. Though their sins be as scarlet, let them be as white as snow. Jesus reveal to them their purity and help them to protect that treasure You’ve given them.
Jesus, Bless You for those who’ve found their worth, light, life, and love in You. Teach them the importance of protecting all You provided on the cross. Let them continue to grow to become in every respect the mature body of Christ. Give them power to grasp your unfathomable love and give them a full measure of the Father. Let your light shine on them always.
In Your Name, AMEN!
