Aloha! We are delighted to launch this site, though it’s still a work-in-progress. As you’ll learn from perusing PrayHawaii.org our hearts’ desire is to bridge the gap between the Hawaiian islands and the mainland (i.e. continental U.S.). Often times Hawaii is thought of as simply a “destination place.” However, the sun still goes down in paradise and our desire is to come alongside existing ministries and community organizations on the islands to offer help where needed. We have three ways you can be part of the answer to the needs found in Hawaii: 1. Pray 2.Give 3. Go
If you love Hawaii then this is an opportunity for you to connect with the community that resides on island and help those in need, whether physically or spiritually. Stay connected with us via this blog, facebook and twitter, and help spread the word!
There are several exciting opportunities for immediate action:
Help Feed My Sheep win a $25,000 grant toward their outreach to the hungry. Find out more here.
Living on island and love students? Then check out the Maui Teen Mentoring Program’s needs here.
If you’ll be on island Saturday, April 20, then you won’t want to miss the annual festival held in Haiku for the local school. Find out more information here.
Thanks for stopping by & we look forward to connecting with you more!
